Rosarito Beach, Baja California Mexico
We are the only hostel located in Rosarito Beach. We are under new ownership and new management. Extensive renovation has taken place at the hostel which includes new paint, new floors, new electrical, and a number of other improvements to make the hostel a safe, clean, friendly place to stay.
The hostel is located less than two blocks from the beautiful sandy beaches. We are also two blocks from the main street of town. This quaint, Mexican village, with a population of more than 140,000, offers a variety of restaurants, specialty shops, grocery stores, and huge clubs such as the well-known Papa's & Beer and Iggy's.
Alamo St. Hostel offers a variety of sleeping accomodations for our guests who travel here from all over the world. We have singles, bunks, trailers, and tents. Since we are usually booked during the weekends, in the tourist season, we encourage you to reserve your bed as early as possible.
We are located less than 30 minutes from the border. (New regulations require that visitors to Mexico have certain documentation to present before entering the United States.) Tijuana is about a 20 minute drive. It is a huge city which offers much more than Revolucion Street. There are many beautiful areas in the city which offer a direct contrast to the downtown area. San Diego is an easy ten miles from the border. We are also an easy ride to the beautiful seaport of Ensenada, as well as the capital of Baja California in Mexicali, and the town made famous for its' beer, Tecate. Rosarito Beach offers cheap taxi service to most any place you choose to go.
The Alamo St. Hostel is open 24/7. We have staff on premises during the day and night. The hostel is not as heavily used during the winter season which makes it a fun place to be during a more calm part of the year.
